In one of my early posts, I outlined that for the past three and half years my ventures into the online world of Internet Marketing had not really been very serious.
Although I started with the best of intentions – as I’m sure many other people have – I soon got caught up in all the hype stirred up by dodgy individuals out to make a quick buck. Of course, being a fresh green newbie, I didn’t immediately realize how dodgy, or devious, they were.
I now realize that much of the information I found online in those early days turned out to be rather questionable.
Hold on…back-up a little…in that sentence I used the word ‘found’. But looking back now, I would definitely say that I was deliberately seeking out information that would satisfy my pre-conceived ideas that earning an income online was really quite easy. Strangely, I regarded those Marketers offering 4 or 5 figure training as being the scam artists.
In those early days, I approached Internet Marketing with exactly the wrong mindset.
As a high-achieving technical professional, the Internet – or rather, the mechanics of it – were no mystery to me. I was there in the pre internet days and remember the early bulletin board systems that evolved out of the initial DoD Arpanet project and the first email. All of this was, of course, command line driven and text based until in 1989, when Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web as we now know it.
And therein lay my particular mindset problem.
Believing that technical knowledge is all that was required, left me easily susceptible to the promise of ‘push-button-riches’. However, my high achieving executive level career as a senior IT solutions architect, meant that I was not so easily talked into things. Working in that type of environment also helps to develop an acute sense of identifying BS.
But I wasn’t completely immune and still bought lots of WSO’s, training and other stuff from The Warrior Forum and other sites. Buying lots of stuff in the early days seems to be common practice, even among the most successful Internet Marketers.
I’m glad I finally found Dean Holland, the first mentor I have truly invested in. Joining the iPro program is a 4 figure investment and represents my firm commitment to stop playing around and take IM seriously.
However, there is an opportunity to experience 2 days of LIVE training with Dean Holland at a bargain price. Dean is holding a 2 day LIVE event in Manchester, in the United Kingdom, on June 28 & 29 2014. This is only the second time he has hosted a live event anywhere in the world.
The venue can only hold 100 people and at the time of this writing (May 19), there are only 68 spaces left. So if you are interested and can make it to Manchester, England, then please act quickly and click the link: Automated Income Seminar
